Arbaaz floats production house  After the success of Fashion, another Khan from the Salman Khan household has announced plans of venturing into film production. Arbaaz Khan is all set to float his new banner Arbaaz Khan Productions. Salman's youngest brother Sohail already has his Sohail Khan Productions. Arbaaz, of course, will be taking help from Sohail's company since he is taking his first steps towards production. "My production house is like an extension of the existing home production. There is no competition between us brothers. In addition, if one brother is producing movies, no rule stops the other from becoming a producer too. Sohail is known to produce a certain kind of films and I will produce my kind of movies," says Arbaaz.
Arbaaz will not only produce the film, but is also likely to act in it. However, he is yet to make up his mind on the latter. The actor-turned-producer has signed debutant Abhinav Kashyap (brother of Anurag Kashyap) to direct the first film starring Salman. "The movie will go on the floors in April or May next year. It is a character-driven story and is very strong on emotions and drama. Salman will play the lead role and other actors and technicians are in the process of being signed," Arbaaz says."As an actor, the obvious step towards growth is to turn to production," says Arbaaz. "The time is right and my meeting with Abhinav was a catalyst towards it." |
