'It's not about homosexuality' Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham have been raving about how well they got on during the shooting of 'Dostana'. And even after the release of the film, nothing has changed. "It's a unique film and we had a great time. John is more than a friend to me now. It was more than bonding, like a brotherhood," says Abhishek. Set in Miami, Florida, Dostana is the story of two friends, played by Abhishek and John, who pretend to be gay to get accommodation. "I don't think there's anything objectionable on the subject of homosexuality in the film. We aren't trying to make fun of anybody. We are not making a comment on any community. It's not about homosexuality. It's not a Brokeback Mountain," says Abhishek.
Abhishek has lost weight and is looking much slimmer than his Dostana days, "I am changing my look for Mani Ratnam's film. I even fell ill since it was raining there. I have viral infection, but now I am back to work. We are busy shooting the film in the jungles of Kerala. We are disconnected from everything. It is a two-hour drive from Kochi where there’s no cellphone network. It's very tough to connect with the world," he says. The actor says that working in remote areas has given him a lot of scope to concentrate on his work. "There are no distractions and I can concentrate hard on the job I am doing. But once we wrap up, all of us head for the gym and then practice the scenes for the next day. But it also keeps me away from my family, which is what I miss the most," he says.
