Shilpa's cartwheels Blessings in disguise Shilpa Shetty's shooting schedules may have been disrupted because of her injured wrist, but the actress is not wasting her time as she rests at home. Shilpa is now devoting her time to those activities she had kept on hold because of her tight schedule. "I have started reading scripts, which I did not have time to read earlier. I am going to be very careful about what I say yes to. I want to do films where my character is exceptionally well developed. I don’t want to do multi-starrers," says Shilpa. Having now turned producer, Shilpa does not want to take any risks. "That's the reason I haven't opted for top stars because getting their dates would be a problem. Also, I have realised that I have become more of a producer than an actress. I needed to do a U-turn to be taken seriously as an actress once again."
Shilpa adds, "Financers want filmmakers to cut down on costs. How can that be possible? I don't want to compromise on the quality of my film to save a few bucks." Meanwhile, she rues the fact that she cannot do her daily bit of yoga or fitness training with the injured hand. The actress has some intense action scenes in her next film and seems to have injured herself while training for them. "It happened either when I was practising cartwheels for my new action film, or maybe because of the wear and tear that happens in weight training," she says. |
