A parting gift for Bush Kunaal Roy Kapoor may not be a known name in the film circuit, but the actor-director has been receiving a lot of critical acclaim for his film The President is Coming, starring Konkana Sen Sharma and Shernaaz Patel. "I am looking forward to the release of the film now, because it will be a bit of a ‘bye bye’ for President George Bush,"says an excited Kunaal.
Incidentally, the story is based on a play by the same name that Kunaal directed himself. Konkona and Shernaz have been roped in, whereas the rest of the cast has been retained from the play."There was no need to replace any actor in The President is Coming since each of them are extremely talented and gifted. I thought when I had actors who were handpicked for theatre and entirely suited for the parts, why even think of replacing them in the film."
We ask how Konkona and Shernaaz fit into the project. "Well I was excited to work with Konkana and she was equally excited to work in this film. Since Konkana and Shernaaz are equally talented, I said why not," says Kunaal. The President is Coming is the story of a bunch of Indian youngsters who compete with each other to just to get a handshake with the President. |  |
