known for her glamorous image and obvious cricket connection. The actress became a household name with her designer blouses and
sarees while anchoring cricket shows. But unlike her most recognised image, Mandira will be seen in a de glamourised role in Meerabai
Not Out.
Mandira plays the role of a Meera Achrekar, a mathematics teacher who teaches at Vishwaprem Vidyalaya. She is a happy woman who
lives in a chawl and is not bothered about her looks. Yet she is a huge hit among her students. And that's because Meera, unlike most
teachers of her school, is more fanatical about cricket. Love blossoms between Meera and Dr Arjun Sachdeva, and she suddenly feels
there is more to life than praying hard for team India, and Anil Kumble in particular. However, in between a fabulous exchange of text
messages, Valentine's Day outings and walks along Chowpatty, she confesses to Arjun that she is already married… to cricket! |
