Chitrangada Singh makes a new beginning After a three year long sabbatical from the tinsel town, actress Chitrangada Singh says she is making a new beginning
with director Onir's film 'Sorry Bhai'. Chitrangada entered Bollywood in 2003 with her critically acclaimed debut in
Sudhir Mishra's 'Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi' and followed it up with another notable performance in Kal Yesterday and
Tomorrow. She took a long break from Bollywood after her marriage with golfer Jyoti Randhawa in 2005. And now
when she is returning to B Town, Chitrangada likes to see it as more of a new beginning than a comeback.
"I am barely two films old so my coming back to the industry with 'Sorry Bhai' is barely a comeback. It is a new
beginning for me," Chitrangada is quoted by IANS. The movie has Chitrangada pairing up with Sanjay Suri and
Sharman Joshi. Speaking about how she bagged the movie, Chitrangada told the agency, "I was thinking about calling
back people for some offers and I received a call from Onir for the role. He sent the script to me and I read it by the
evening and called back to say I was in. The very next day he was at my place and I signed the contract."
Asserting that she wants to work in good projects, Chitrangada said: "Every actor is selective. I have always been very
selective about scripts and the director. It's not that I want a big banner or a big director but I want to play a character
that makes me happy as I'm very passionate about cinema." |
