Tannishtha trains for pole dancer role Tannishtha Chatterjee may not be a familiar name in Bollywood but the actress
has some interesting films to her credit. Working with the likes of
Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz and Rajpal Yadav is what keeps the actress
going. She is now excited about having shared screen space with none other
than Martin Sheen in director Ravi Kumar's film based on the Bhopal gas
tragedy. "The film will be partly shot in Hyderabad and Bhopal. I will have a
few scenes with Martin, but only in the climax. Rajpal has more scenes with
him. We will probably start shooting in December," reveals Tannishtha, who is
looking forward to working in more mainstream Hollywood ventures.
The actress is busy preparing herself for the role of a pole dancer in a
British film next. "I am being trained for it. Right now, I have joined
exercise classes like aerobics, philatelics and acrobatics which are the
basics of pole dancing. They might use a body double for the dances but I
have to look convincing enough, hence the training. Romanian actress Anamaria
Marinca, of Four Months, Three Weeks, Two Days fame, plays one of the leads
in the film," reveals Tannishtha.
"My next film with NDTV titled 'White Elephant' with Prashant Naraynan in the
lead is complete. Then there's Anand Surapur's Phat Phish Entertainment film
being directed by a New York based director. I have also completed a film
Bara Ana with Naseeruddin and Vijay based on economic India," she says. |
